This session will review the latest literature on managing agitated patients in the air medical transport (AMT) environment, including retrospective reviews, case series, and a key consensus statement. Dr. Nawrocki will highlight current gaps in the evidence base and discuss how future research can strengthen clinical guidance. Attendees will learn how to translate existing knowledge into best practices for protocol development. The session will also cover the current NAEMSP position statement and preview new AMT-specific considerations being developed for the forthcoming AMPA/NAEMSP statement.
