Amy Loucks, RN, BSN, CCRN, CFRN, FP-C, EMTP, serves as the Director of Innovative Education and Simulation for the Lifeguard Emergency and Critical Care Transport Team at the University of New Mexico Hospitals. With over 22 years of nursing experience and 15 years as a paramedic, her clinical expertise centers on high-acuity maternal, neonatal, and pediatric care.
Amy is the founder of the UNMH M.O.M.S. Program, a statewide initiative addressing maternal-fetal health disparities through mobile outreach and interdisciplinary collaboration. She is also Director of the NMPC. Her educational leadership includes the development of advanced simulation-based training, mechanical circulatory support protocols, point-of-care ultrasound implementation, and flight physician education.
She is particularly committed to advancing healthcare access and outcomes for underserved and indigenous populations in rural New Mexico and across the United States, aligning clinical excellence with community impact.
