For the past 15 years, Jeff’s work has focused on utilizing data to make operations safer. Jeff has worked in various safety areas including human performance, Safety Management System analysis, and Flight Data Monitoring Program development and operation.

Prior to Air Medical Jeff was a research associate at the University of Oregon and a contract researcher for NASA Ames. His research has included studying brain and attention network development in 3-5-year old children and various aviation focused human performance studies looking at decision making, attention, and the effects of low blood sugar on pilot performance.

Currently, Jeff is Safety Standards analyst at GMR and also the owner of Margin Safety LLC -providing flight data monitoring support and analysis as well SMS support for part 135 operations.
