Special Operations Medic (MIL) & Flight Paramedic (CIV)
US ARMY & Cape Fear Valley Health, North Carolina
I’m a Critical Care Flight Paramedic with nine years in emergency medicine and nearly 20 years of military service. I began my career in the Army, deploying as a Recon Team Leader during the Global War on Terror (GWOT). After my combat tours, I transitioned into medicine and completed the Special Operations Combat Medic (SOCM) course.
That path led me from the battlefield to civilian critical care transport. Today, I work full-time in HEMS, managing high-acuity interfacility and scene transports. My focus is on delivering advanced care in complex, time-sensitive environments where critical decisions matter.
A career highlight came in 2022 when I was selected to lead a medical team on an overseas government contracting mission. The role demanded clinical leadership, operational oversight, and international coordination in a high-stakes environment.
Outside of my clinical role, I help lead a nonprofit dedicated to guiding Special Operations Medics into civilian flight medicine. I focus on ventilator education, mentorship, and helping providers apply their operational experience to critical care transport.
My mission is to raise the standard in transport medicine—and help others bring their experience forward with confidence.
