Alaina currently serves as a flight nurse at Allegheny Health Network LifeFlight in Pittsburgh, PA, where her passion is providing high-quality patient care and delving into educational initiatives. Her previous experience as a bedside nurse in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department at Allegheny General Hospital allows her to bring a unique perspective to prehospital medicine. Alaina will always be a neuro nerd at heart!

She advances AHN LifeFlight's elevated standard of care through implementation of evidence-based practice and contributes to the growing body of original research in the prehospital environment. Alaina has published in peer-reviewed journals and disseminated her findings at regional and national EMS conferences. She is enthusiastic about sharing new knowledge and research through LifeFlight's Community Outreach Education Program and is committed to growing the newest generation of nursing professionals by serving as a clinical instructor at a local university.
