Professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Children's Hospital Colorado
Littleton, Colorado
Dr. Mandt began her career as a tree-hugging forestry major in Wisconsin. Saving human lives was, admittedly, not her initial career focus; but, after becoming an EMT in college to pay for . . . extracurricular activities, she quickly realized her true passion and moved from a focus on photosynthesis to a focus on biosynthesis. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in 2001, then completed both a pediatric residency and a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. Since joining the University of Colorado School of Medicine faculty at Children’s Hospital Colorado in 2007, Dr. Mandt has worked in the CHCO emergency department as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and has served as the Medical Director of EMS for the Children’s system. She is the Chief Medical Director for the Children’sOne Flight Program and the Pediatric Medical Director for Aurora Fire Rescue. She also serves as the Vice Chair of the Emergency Medicine Practice Advisory Council for the State of Colorado and is a Board of Directors member for the Colorado Chapter of the National Association of EMS Physicians.
